Megachip guards drastically reduce rock chips and road debris on the sides of the Model Y. Aligned with Tesla’s simple but aesthetic appearance, these guards are sleek and minimal, blending with the Model Y's body lines.
3M™ VHB™ tape is used for mounting because it creates a strong, permanent bond without causing damage or the need for drilling. The specific VHB™ tape used (45 mil 5952) works well in all weather conditions on vehicle plastics, painted surfaces, and the rubber guard material.
